Yale Silverstreak Hot 10mm Accessory Cord - Per Metre

SILVERSTREAK accessory cord is manufactured from 100% Polyester using the same techniques as YALE Portland Braid. The core however is manufactured from the same fibres used in Double Esterlon which gives this cord a massive tensile strength of 2000kg. The outer cover has been tightened to give and maintain a rounder finish. This accessory cord is widely used to create friction hitches and prusik loops as it has an excellent knottable quality. Silverstreak cord should be formed into a loop joining the finished ends with a double fisherman’s knot. The knots must be carefully dressed and then preloaded before use; each tail end of the knot must exceed 25mm in length. For traceability ensure the details on the original reel of rope are transferred onto the prusik loop.
