Building on the success of its predecessor, the new Akimbo≤ features an additional SRS tending option, enhancing its capability for single rope climbing. Modifications have also been incorporated for improved performance on rope, ensuring smoother operation and greater control. Designed for convenience and efficiency, the Akimbo≤ opens easily to remove or install a rope mid-line in seconds, then compresses back into a compact form factor both on and off the rope. When climbing on stationary rope with a chest harness (SRS mode), the Akimbo≤ offers two auxiliary connection points. The upper connection features a wire gate for quick attachment of a non-PPE carabiner or loop of cord, while the main life-support connection point can also be used for connecting a chest harness with a non-PPE carabiner.
