The Honey Brothers Story

Honey Brothers, From Humble Beginnings.

Honey Brothers Ltd have been based in Peasmarsh since 1955 and was founded by two brothers, Peter and Tony Honey.

At the start Honey Brothers Ltd would provide tree surgery services to the local area before turning to selling the local arborists high quality tree climbing and cutting equipment.

The company was later taken on by the Peter’s sons Martyn and Michael who continued to sell equipment to the local area and across the UK whilst continuing with the tree surgery side and also consultancy.

Gaining momentum and growing the Honey Brothers Ltd name they proceeded to gain more staff and provided better service to their customers as the demand across the country grew.

Honey Brothers Ltd became the go to for any tree surgeon in the UK for equipment and advice.

The Honey family employed Martyn Day and Stuart Girdler who started by booking in lawnmowers to be repaired, delivering and collecting them and ordering parts. When out delivering Stuart was fond of a layby to pull into to kill some time.

Martyn and Stuart then moved into the sales side of the business, gaining their knowledge on the whole Arboricultural sector including climbing equipment and chainsaws.

In 2007 Martyn was working one Saturday and saw the opportunity to be able to buy Honey Brothers Ltd. A Conversation was had between Martyn Honey, Martyn Day and Stuart Girdler and the deal was done!

After Martyn and Stuart took this challenge on it has been a whirlwind ever since, making Honey Brothers known across the world.
