The STIHL HLA 40 is a compact, lightweight battery hedge trimmer ideal for high hedges, shrubs, and ornamental plants. Its telescopic handle and rotating knife bar provide excellent reach and precision. Powered by STIHL AS lithium-ion batteries, it operates quietly, making it suitable for noise-sensitive environments.

The ergonomic round handle with rubberized grip ensures firm, comfortable control. Tool-free adjustable telescopic handle and included shoulder strap allow effortless positioning and transport, while the divisible handle shortens total length from 260 cm to 115 cm for compact storage.
Precision Cutting
Diamond-cut, hardened blades deliver clean, efficient pruning. The tool-free adjustable knife bar rotates from –45° to +70° (115° total), enabling precise trimming of hedge sides and tops. A screwed-up sword guard protects the blade near the ground.
