For use with helmets that do not already have appropriate integral headlamp clips (e.g. other than current Petzl helmets) the four hooks are for use with thin-edged helmets, e.g. standard site type safety helmets, to keep the elasticated headband on the headtorch correctly positioned on the safety helmet.
