Poison Ivy is a rope construction designed for use with advanced climbing tools and techniques, as well as with traditional methods. With its kernmantle construction (2 ropes in one), Poison Ivy has a wonderful feel with great knot-tying characteristics, while designed for use with mechanical ascenders as well as self-belaying split tail techniques. This line is lightweight, spliceable, superbly suited to rope walking and uniquely recognisable by its camouflage colours. Poison Ivy keeps its round shape, even under heavy loads, instead of squaring off like lesser products. Poison Ivy’s smaller diameter cousin, Blaze, is well liked by climbers of all levels and especially popular on competition circuits. Poison Ivy is a noticeable .7 mm larger than Blaze to improve hand control but not jeopardise mechanical function.
