Complete Knee‑Ascent System for Efficient SRS Climbing
The Petzl Kit for Knee Ascent is a complete solution designed to make ascending the rope using SRS (Stationary Rope System) techniques smoother, easier and far more efficient. Fully compatible with the Petzl SEQUOIA and SEQUOIA PLUS harnesses, this kit integrates seamlessly into the waistbelt to improve climbing performance during tree care operations.
Optimised for SRS Efficiency
The elastic band routes through a durable plastic tube and attaches neatly to the harness via textile loops or included accessory loops and screws.
By connecting both ends of the elastic band using the MINO accessory carabiner (included), tension is doubled—centering the knee ascender and improving lifting efficiency with each stride.
PANTIN‑Based Knee Ascender System
The kit uses a PANTIN (right‑foot) rope clamp, connected to an adjustable webbing foot loop.
This foot loop includes:
- A buckle‑adjusted lower strap for a secure fit on any shoe
- Optional top‑of‑shoe connection using an accessory carabiner (e.g., MINO, not included)
The built‑in catch makes it easy to install the rope into the PANTIN, ensuring quick setup and reliable operation.
