Purpose-Built Tree Protection
The Cobra Expansion Insert 2t/4t (80 cm) is designed for use with Cobra 2 tonne and 4 tonne dynamic bracing systems. Its primary function is to enlarge the cable’s contact surface on the tree stem, significantly reducing surface pressure during wind movement.

By distributing load more evenly, the expansion insert helps prevent damage to bark and cambium, reducing the risk of pressure marks and lacing-up. This makes it ideal for long-term dynamic bracing where tree health and natural movement are critical.
Easy and Accurate Installation
The insert features pointed ends for quick and simple insertion into the Cobra cable.
To determine the correct insertion point, add 20 cm to the branch circumference. The installed insert length should be at least two-thirds of the branch circumference—simply select the appropriate length from the Cobra range.
