Description
Snatchet combines a high-efficiency pulley with a compact and intuitive integrated carabiner that may be introduced to the middle of a system without needing to re-rig. The result: more flexibility with less friction.
The Harken Snatchet provides the rigging flexibility to answer heavy lifting challenges in difficult settings by combining Harken’s high efficiency pulley engineering with a familiar and intuitive carabiner-based anchoring system well established in mountaineering and working-at-height. The result is a very flexible device easy to install and remove, that may be rigged in the middle of an existing rope system without having to disconnect the anchor point. Harken Snatchet is available both with and without an internal ratchet. Ratcheting versions engage via a sliding on-off switch on the unit and may be used in either mode. The sheave in the ratcheting version is equipped with facets to increase rope holding power. The non-ratcheting version offers a traditional round (unfaceted) pulley. The pulley side plates on either option are made of fibre-reinforced composite material to keep them light. Sheaves are stainless steel and the locking carabiner is robust carbon steel.
This product’s name says it all. Snatchet pushes together the ease and familiarity of carabiner rigging with a high-efficiency pully to create a very flexible piece of powerful yet compact lifting equipment. Available so that you have a choice between ratcheting and non-ratcheting

versions, Snatchet can be inserted into the middle of an existing rig eliminating the need to take the load off a loaded line and rerig. Robust carabiners and wide stainless sheaves rig easily and provide uncommon flexibility.
- Rope can be engaged without disconnecting the anchor point
- Integral carabiner decreases distance between anchor point and the rope travel position.
- Large pulley diameter reduces friction and rope stress
- No risk of misalignment between pulley and carabiner that could break the system
- Ratchet version can be “activated/deactivated” under load
- Faceted sheave in ratchet version provides 15X the rope holding power of a round sheave
