Description
Calamine is a rope construction designed for use with advanced climbing tools and techniques, as well as with traditional methods. With its kernmantle construction (2 ropes in one), Calamine has a wonderful feel with great knot-tying characteristics, while designed for use with mechanical ascenders as well as self-belaying split tail techniques. This line is lightweight, spliceable, superbly suited to rope walking and uniquely recognisable by its camouflage colours. Calamine keeps its round shape, even under heavy loads, instead of squaring off like lesser products. Calamine’s smaller diameter cousin, Blaze, is well liked by climbers of all levels and especially popular on competition circuits. Calamine is a noticeable .7 mm larger than Blaze to improve hand control but not jeopardise mechanical function.
