The Petzl STERNO Chest Harness is a slim, low-profile shoulder harness designed to keep an ascent system correctly positioned when using SRS/SRT climbing techniques. Comfortable, adjustable, and easy to use, STERNO improves efficiency on ascent while allowing excellent freedom of movement during work positioning.
The shoulder straps are widely spaced to reduce pressure and neck chafing, while the non-fixed front bridge allows the harness to move naturally with the climber. With three possible connection heights, users can fine-tune the position of their ascent system for a customised and ergonomic setup.
Hybrid metal buckles allow the harness to be quickly fastened and removed, making it easy to put on and take off, even when wearing gloves. Rear adjustment buckles ensure compatibility with a wide range of body sizes.
Designed specifically for tree care professionals, the STERNO chest harness is ideal for climbers who want better rope control on ascent without adding bulk or restriction.
Note: This product is not PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and must not be used as a fall-arrest component.
