At Honey Brothers, we’re passionate about supporting Arborist Colleges with the next generation of arborists and outdoor professionals. One of the unique ways we do this is by partnering with colleges to provide immersive, real-world experiences that go beyond the classroom. We invite student groups to visit our facilities, where they get a behind-the-scenes look at our operations—from exploring our extensive gear offerings to witnessing the intricate process of rope splicing in action. These visits not only equip students with top-quality tools but also give them valuable insight into the craftsmanship and innovation that power the arboriculture industry.
Merrist Wood
Being just around the corner from our Peasmarsh store, Merrist Wood College is one of our most frequent visitors. Their students regularly drop by to see where the action happens—whether it’s watching our team expertly splice ropes or exploring the latest in arborist gear. We also offer bespoke on-site workshops and demos that can be tailored specifically to the student’s needs, ensuring each session is both relevant and engaging. The relationship goes both ways too; we often visit Merrist Wood to run product demos and showcase different techniques, giving students the chance to get practical experience and ask questions in a familiar learning environment. We’re also proud to support their hard work by donating end-of-year prizes to students who have gone above and beyond and truly excelled in their training. It’s always a pleasure to play a part in helping the next generation of arborists thrive.
Plumpton
We also have a great relationship with Plumpton College, where we regularly visit to deliver product demos and share the latest arborist techniques. Recently, Marcus from our team visited to showcase a range of gear and demonstrate different climbing and rigging methods. It’s a fantastic opportunity for students to get hands-on experience, ask questions, and build confidence with professional equipment in a learning environment. The partnership goes both ways, as Plumpton students also visit us to explore our extensive range of arborist gear and watch live rope splicing demonstrations—giving them a deeper understanding of the equipment they rely on in the field.
Bridgewater & Taunton
We’re proud to support the students of Bridgwater & Taunton College as they develop their skills and prepare for careers in the arboriculture industry. As part of our ongoing relationship, we regularly welcome their students to our stores, allowing them to explore a wide range of professional arborist products and see rope splicing demonstrations up close. These visits offer valuable insight into the tools and techniques they’ll be using in the field.
In addition to site visits, our team also travels to the college to deliver on-site product demos and share practical knowledge. These hands-on sessions are tailored to the student’s training needs and give them the chance to engage directly with the latest equipment and industry practices.
