The release mechanism consists of a steel cartridge and a chain link, both of which are attached to the end of the rope when not in use. Installing the automatic release is simple – just position the chain link at the desired distance, make a half-turn with the rope, and insert it into the cartridge. This secure attachment method ensures that the rope is held in place without any risk of damage.
With a maximum capacity of ropes up to 12mm (1/2″) in diameter, this automatic release is suitable for a variety of applications. However, it is important to note that it is not recommended for use with the portable winch when anchored with a sling, as this could potentially cause damage to the equipment. To ensure safe and efficient operation, it is advised to use an anchor such as the PCA-1268 or PCA-1269 in conjunction with the automatic release.
