Description
Bee-Line is the first rope designed to wick the heat out of friction away from a knot. The ‘Power of Aramid’ is brought to bear in this rope structure. Teijin’s Technora© Aramid fibre has heat resistance through 800 degrees Fahrenheit and excellent cut resistance.
In use kinetic energy caused by rappelling on the knot or friction hitch, is converted into thermal energy. If left with no place to go t can melt your rope. In introducing Aramid fibre into the rope, a higher level of heat can be tolerated without damage to either the cord or the climbing line.
Bee-Line is available from Honey Brothers in two diameters 8mm and 10mm. Each diameter is made differently to maximise the thermodynamic value provided.
(10mm) diameter cover 50% Technora (800 degree F) and 50% polyester (480 degree F) Core 100% Polyester (480 degree F).
