Yale Bee-Line 8mm Accessory Cord

Description

Bee-Line is the first rope designed to wick the heat out of friction away from a knot. The ‘Power of Aramid’ is brought to bear in this rope structure. Teijin’s Technora© Aramid fiber has heat resistance through 800 degrees Fahrenheit and excellent cut reistance.

In use kinetic energy casused by rapelling on the knot or friction hitch, is converted into thermal energy. If left with no place to go t can melt your rope. In introducing Aramid fiber into the rope, a higher level of heat can be tolerated without damage to either the cord or the climbing line.

Bee-Line is avaialble from Honey Brothers in two diameters 5/16″ (8mm) and 3/8″ (9mm). Each diameter is made differently to maximise the thermodynamic value provided.

5/16″ (8mm) diameter cover 75% Technora (800 degree F) and 25% polyester (480 degree F) Core 100% Vectran (480 degree F).
